Should everyone have access to the internet

I saw the future of the media players, back when it was Roku, Tivo, was king. Today the media players will replace the phone and cable companies hold in our society. Right now we have the Amazon fire stick, Android devices, Google chromecast, and Roku are masters of alternative entertainment and cable TV is a dying breed. I would like to ask this question cable and telephone companies, Why is internet so expensive 2018?
